From the 1970s through the 1980s, Disco, Funk and dance music stormed
the airwaves, with influences from Jazz,Classical, Latin, Soul and Blues
Disco music developed in discotheques throughout the US. By mid to
late 1970s most major US cities had thriving Disco Club scenes, where
people danced the nights away. In the following years, Dance and Funk music
proliferated, producing some of the most danceable modern music ever produced.
